The shifting international order has become a central topic of discussion in contemporary international relations. This study aims to analyze the geopolitical and geoeconomic shifts characterizing this changing order, with a specific focus on their implications for the Islamic Republic of Iran. By examining the emerging power structures and their geographical manifestations, the research seeks to provide a framework for policymakers to navigate the complexities of the new global landscape. The analysis reveals that while overt competition among superpowers persists, underlying geopolitical and geoeconomic realities are increasingly characterized by strategic targeting of each other's supply and value chains. Furthermore, the fragmented nature of the emerging world order will significantly impact key phenomena such as sanctions, financial and banking systems, global and regional value chains, the functioning of the global currency, protectionist policies, technological development and diffusion, and competition for critical resources. This research utilizes a combination of library research and analysis of scholarly literature and credible online sources. The findings underscore the need for Iranian policymakers to develop a nuanced understanding of these evolving geopolitical and geoeconomic realities to effectively formulate and implement foreign policy strategies that safeguard national interests and promote sustainable development.
